Vintage Lace Valentine

I have been busy posting cards this evening and I thought I would share the best for last. I think of out of all the six cards I have posted this one is probably my favorite.

I started with a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ Very Vanilla base. The second layer is also Very Vanilla, it is cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″. The top and bottom are stamped in Crumb Cake with Delicate Details (a free Sale a-bration stamp) I embossed it with a retired embossing folder because I felt it needed a quiet subtle background, but I think the Softly Falling Embossing folder would work just as well. The heart is Very Vanilla and is cut with the Bloomin’ Heart thinlit. I sponged the heart with Crumb Cake, Watermelon Wonder, Pear Pizzazz and Always Artichoke. The larger flowers are made Watermelon Wonder card stock which are heat embossed with white. The smaller flowers are made with Very Vanilla card stock and are inked in Watermelon Wonder. Some of the flowers are popped up with dimensionals. The banner is stamped in Always Artichoke and Watermelon Wonder and also popped up with dimensionals. i added pearls to the flowers and the lace details…

Feminine Valentine

The card base is a piece of Pear Pizzazz cut at 5 !/2″ x 8 1/2″. I cut the edge with the Love Notes Framelit Dies (heart border) and the hearts are stamped with Always Artichoke using the hearts in the Sealed with Love stamp set.. I then cut a piece of 3 3/4″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Pear Pizzazz and embossed it in the Festive embossing folder. The small hearts along the border have Very Vanilla hearts that are cut in half and tucked under the Pear Pizzazz hearts on the border. I cut a piece of 1″ x 3 3/4″ Vary vanilla card stock for the lace detail on the bottom. It is stamped with the Delicate Details stamp set from the Sale-a-bration catalog and is stamped with Calypso Coral and Always Artichoke. I wrapped apiece of Very Vanilla satin ribbon around the top of the stamped lace piece and tied a short piece of ribbon on top.The lace doily was used from the Occasions catalog. The doilies have a vanilla and a white side to it so you can sponge or spritz them any colour you wish. I sponged outer edge of the Very Vanilla side of the doily with Calypso Coral. The inner circle is cut from the smaller stitched circle framelit in Very vanilla and is sponged in Wisteria Wonder. The sentiment “Just for You” is from the So In Love stamp set and is stamped in Always Artichoke. I stamped the largest flower using the flower in the So In Love stamp set. I heat embossed it in white on a piece of Succulent Garden DSP. The daisy like flowers are from the Succulent framelit dies. I used the smallest daisy flower and sponged the outer edges of Whisper White card stock with Wisteria Wonder. The flowers on top of the daisies are from Bloomin’ Love and are stamped on Whisper White and Calypso Coral card stock.I stamped with Calypso coral ink on the Whisper White card stock and heat embossed with white on the Calypso Coral Card stock. The Always Artichoke leaves are cut from the Stylish Stems Framelit Dies..

Two different valentine cards with the same colour scheme

Both cards are made with ¬†Pool Party, Whisper White and Watermelon Wonder. The stamp sets used for the first card were Bloomin’ love, Sealed with Love and Delicate Details (a Sale-a-bration set) I used the Bloomin¬†Heart Thinlits to cut the Whisper White heart. The flowers on the heart are stamped with Pool Party and Watermelon Wonder. I stamped the Pool Party heart and flower out and embossed with white. The lace piece under “be mine” and the smaller heart are both Watermelon Wonder stamped on white. The backgrond is stamped with the Delicate Details in Watermelon wonder.

The second card I used the same stamp sets plus Oh so Succulent. I added the lace doily in the background. I also embossed the background with the falling petals embossing folder. The flower and small heart are both inked Watermelon Wonder. The larger heart and the lace detail are Pool Party and the greenery is Always Artichoke.
